Living Consciously August 11, 2009

Dear friends,

We are fated to live our lives based on the past until we consciously step up to our spiritual destiny. Our destiny is not what we do as a career or who we have relationships with or how much money we have, it is how we are internally in any situation. Our spiritual destiny is generated from how we use our natural gifts, such as love and peace, joy and wisdom, compassion and celebration. When we begin to really see that life is created from the inside out, our experience shifts dramatically.

Blaming anyone or anything for how we feel right now is living from Fate. If we attribute the cause of our experience to some outer power we are fated to feel victimized on a regular basis. A person who thinks their possibilities have been taken from them due to violence or abuse in childhood is living a fated life.

It is never too late to awaken to the higher truth about our nature. Our thoughts really do control our emotions and our sense of well being. Choosing to think of oneself as a right now expression of spiritual wholeness and creative intelligence, a being that is transcendent of worldly experience lifts us into the great realm of realizing our destiny. We can now make decisions based on who we actually are rather than the labels we gave ourselves, such as survivor, victim, damaged or broken. Those are never true unless we insist on identifying ourselves as such. Why not try this instead:

I am brand new, right here and right now, constantly remade in the image and likeness of spiritual wholeness. My destiny is to live well, live long and live in love and joy, vitality and peace, prosperity and beauty. And so it is!

Peace and Blessings,

Rev Carol Carnes

Dear friends,

Our spiritual self is not a warrior, ever. It does not know enemies. It does not resist or fight against. It is a blessing, always. It only Unites, Blesses, Loves and Celebrates. The question for us is this: When we are expressing any or all of those soul qualities, don’t we immediately have everything we could ever want?

To Unite simply means to see all as one. To see the intact spirit of every person. It is to take into consideration the whole of humanity in our decisions and our vision. Being one with is probably the highest and most challenging of spiritual practices.

To Bless means to prosper. Do we prosper the enviornment wherever we are? In other words, does our presence make things better? Are we willing to share our creative ideas, our enthusiasm, our appreciation? Do we circulate our money with easy release or do we fear loss every time we have to spend it? Blessing life and prospering it are the synonymous .

To Love from the soul is compassion. It is holding us all in the vision of possibility. It is to know there is more to us than meets the eye. To know that what may seem ugly and dark, is but a mask for the light of the soul. Change is always possible. Our hearts are open to diversity. Soul love is also holding the highest of expectations for the human race. It is to have faith in ourselves as co creators with the Universal Intelligence.

To Celebrate is to recognize the deep joy that is possible when we express from our wholeness. It is to savor the small moments of interaction with nature, with other humans, with stillness. It is to be happy for another’s success, to see through the appearances of limitation to the inherent possibility in any situation.

Being human is so much more than surviving. It is an adventure of self discovery. For when we practice uniting with, loving, blessing and celebrating we have a glimpse of our Spiritual nature. As the ancients said “To know the Self, is to know God.”

Peace and Blessings,

Rev Carol Carnes
